Staffarda Abbey (1135) is a cistercian monastery near Saluzzo, Piedmont. During European Nine Years War, Louis the Great of France occupied Piedmont when Duke Victor Amadeus of Savoy joined Grand Alliance in opposition to France. The battle took place on 1690, august 18th, around the abbey, and French Army won that combat.
